CMLTO registration renewal notices

25 October 2018

Due to recent Canada Post labour actions in Ontario, CMLTO members may not have yet received their registration renewal notices by postal mail. Please note that it is still members’ responsibility to renew online between November 1st and December 31st. The CMLTO will continue to monitor the postal delivery situation and may also send renewal notices by email. Members who have questions about the renewal process should contact registration@cmlto.com for assistance.

Council election results

This summer, CMLTO conducted its first ever online elections for Council member positions in Districts 1 and 3. There were two candidates running in each election.

District 1 – South West Region

Congratulations to Josh Lewis and Chee-Yuen (Helen) Meaney who will begin their three-year terms on Council on January 1, 2019.

CMLTO participation at the Zoomer Show

CMLTO staff members and staff from other regulatory health Colleges will be on hand at the Ontario Health Regulators booth at the Zoomer Show Lifestyle Expo held in Toronto on October 27-28, 2018.

Practice advisors from the Colleges will speak to attendees about the regulated health professions and the public’s right to safe and competent care, as well as demonstrating how to use the Ontario Health Regulators website. Please drop by to say hello if you are attending the show.

Ethical Decision Making Guidelines: tell us what you think!

The CMLTO is dedicated to supporting continuous member competence and has published many practice guidelines to address a variety of medical laboratory science topics. To ensure its resources are current, the CMLTO conducts periodic reviews of the guidelines.
The Guideline for Ethical Decision Making is currently up for review and we would appreciate receiving your insights and feedback. You can provide your feedback by completing a short survey found here. The anonymous survey contains fives questions that should take you approximately 3-5 minutes to complete. Please note that the survey will close on Monday, October 15, 2018, at 11:59 pm.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will help the CMLTO to improve its resources. If you have any questions, please email the Quality Assurance department at qualityassurance@cmlto.com or call 1-800-323-9672, extension 2.

MLTs should ensure addresses are up-to-date

CMLTO members should review and update their profiles before October 1st, 2018, at www.cmlto-onlineservices.com. Please ensure your mailing address is correct if you have moved recently.

The CMLTO will be mailing the Notice of Annual Registration Renewal for 2019 to your home address that is currently on file, on October 19, 2018. The online renewal system will be available from November 1 to December 31, 2018.

If you do not remember your CMLTO registration number, please search for your name in the Public Register of Members at www.cmltoregister.com.

CMLTO Council election underway

CMLTO members eligible to vote in elections being held in Districts 1 and 3 have been notified by email and sent instructions for casting their votes electronically. Members in those districts who believe they are eligible to vote yet who have not received a notification, should email executiveoffice@cmlto.com

Members have until 11:59 pm on September 28, 2018 to vote.
