CMLTO response to COVID-19

As COVID-19 continues to spread across Ontario and globally, the CMLTO is taking various precautionary measures and adjusting its operations to ensure the health and safety of its staff, volunteers, and system partners, in order to heed provincially- and federally-mandated public health directives which support health protection in the greater community.

The CMLTO will continue to monitor the situation and will adapt operations accordingly. We are making every effort to ensure this situation does not affect the quality of service and support that the CMLTO provides to the public and members.

At this time, the CMLTO office remains open but preparations are being made to operate virtually as the situation warrants. Every effort will be made to provide uninterrupted service efficiently and effectively, however, CMLTO requests your patience if there is a lag in service or responses.

Following public health directives and best practices, the CMLTO will not host in-person meetings throughout the rest of March through to May 8th, however, this time period is subject to being extended. CMLTO-hosted meetings scheduled until May 8th will be held via teleconference and participants will be notified of all the pertinent details to join the meetings.

The scheduling of meetings planned for after May 8th is currently under review and will be determined as the situation evolves. College staff members will not attend external meetings during the same time period which is also subject to an extension.

The CMLTO is unable to accommodate unscheduled or ‘drop-in’ visitors until further notice. Signage is posted on the office door with relevant phone and email contact information.

The CMLTO will provide updates about changes to its operations on the cmlto.com homepage and via e-blasts to members, as necessary. The College is endeavouring to maintain business as usual in order to fulfill its public protection mandate.
