CMA-accredited MLT education programs update

As reported earlier this year, the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) announced it would be divesting itself of responsibility for allied health sciences program accreditation services. The CMA plans to continue operation of its accreditation services until January 31, 2018, at which point CMA accreditation services will no longer exist.
The Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS), and the Canadian Alliance of Medical Laboratory Professionals Regulators (CAMLPR), have been collaborating to establish a new accreditation framework that meets the needs of regulators, educational institutes and the larger medical laboratory community.
